Learning Curve: new book explores the untold stories of Loughborough University FC
‘Learning Curve’ is a new book that follows the tale of Loughborough University FC's class of 2017. The book lifts the lid on what it's like to combine studying with sport as students attempt to achieve good results on and off the pitch.
Written by Chris Evans, who has contributed to titles such as FourFourTwo, the Daily Telegraph and the Independent, the book explores the unique nature of university football through the eyes of students past and present.
From marquee matches against Liverpool, to facing the physical anguish of two matches in six hours and dealing with the heart-breaking loss of a team mate, life in Loughborough's non-league football club is littered with challenges.
Learning Curve also includes a foreword written by former Arsenal and Scotland goalkeeper and Loughborough Hall of Fame member, Bob Wilson OBE. Chris also interviews successful students who have contributed to the history of Loughborough's football club.
