Loughborough Alumnae win award ahead of Kickstarter campaign launch
Susie Beere and Sophie Kelly began Snooks in The Studio in 2014 on the Loughborough University campus. On 10 November, they were lucky enough to be awarded £20,000 by Baldwins, who run an annual award for young entrepreneurs.
The award includes £10,000 worth of mentoring and accountancy advice as well as £10,000 cash.
The founders and recent graduates of Loughborough University began their ski wear company as they were unable to find any suitable women’s ski wear for the slopes.
Susie and Sophie were also shortlisted in the New Business of the Year category at the 2016 Leicester Mercury Women in Business Awards. They received a finalists’ certificate to mark their success so far.
Snooks were featured at this year’s Telegraph Ski and Snow show on 27 October amongst an array of other snow brands.
Snooks held their pre-party on 4 November 2016 – their public Kickstarter campaign to raise £10,000 will launch soon.
We wish the pair the best of luck with their Kickstarter campaign and hope they reach their target. Many congratulations to Snooks on the award and recognition so far!
