Treasurer's Committee

Terms of Reference

  1. To advise Council on the University's financial strategy with particular reference to cash, investments and borrowings including leases and off balance sheet finance.

  2. To monitor its financial health and if necessary make comments to Council.

  3. To procure the preparation of the University's annual accounts prior to their presentation to Council and Court by the Treasurer.

  4. To develop and recommend to Council an investment (other than endowments) and borrowing policy for the University, to keep such policy under review and to recommend to Council such changes as may be required from time to time.

  5. To keep the University's Endowment investments under review in the light of professional advice and guidance.

  6. To consider such associated treasury matters as may be referred to it by Council.

  7. To meet at least three times a year and to report to Council after each meeting.
