Senate
Subject: Proposal for a Minor
Amendment to the Composition of Health, Safety and Environmental Committee
Origin: Secretary to Senate
It is proposed to amend the
composition of Health, Safety and Environmental Committee, as below, such that
only one of the lay members is required to be a member of Council. The
appointment of both lay members will remain subject to approval by Council, and
where possible, two lay members of Council will continue to be sought. The
additional flexibility that this amendment will provide is sought because it
has proved difficult to identify two lay members of Council with sufficient
time available to attend meetings this year, and this situation may not change
in the near future.
