Changes to the Residential Provision and Management Sub-Committee’s Terms of Reference

 


 

It is requested that Senate approve the following changes to the Residential Provision and Management Sub-Committee’s Terms of Reference.

 

Terms of Reference of Residential Provision and Management Sub-Committee

 

1.         To keep under review the management of the University's residential accommodation and the facilities provided, including the catering facilities, and to advise Student Services Committee and other relevant committees on policies related to the provision and development of such facilities within the context of the University's Corporate Planning Strategy.

 

2.         To keep under review the adequacy of the level of provision of student residences in the light of the growth of the University and its diversification.

 

3.         To advise Student Services Committee on all matters pertaining to the well being of users of the University's accommodation.

 

4.         To keep under review the levels of service required of the Residential Organisation, to ensure that appropriate performance standards are set, and to monitor the operational performance of the Residential Organisation having regard to agreed service level standards.

 

5.         To keep under review the services provided by the Wardens, including the Community Wardens, and to ensure that appropriate performance standards are set and met.

 

6.         To receive regular reports from the Wardens’ Sub-Group.

 

7.         To make regular reports to Student Services Committee.
