7. Developing an Academic Activity on the
Olympic Park

To support the efforts to obtain space on
favourable terms that would enable the project to proceed if this route is
confirmed in the future, and to note that full discussions on all academic
issues will be held at future meetings of Senate.
8. Establishment of Advanced Manufacturing
Institute

approve the establishment of the Advanced Manufacturing (AM) Institute.
9. British
University in Egypt
9.1 To note the action of the
Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of Senate, on the recommendation of the BUE
Validation Sub-Committee, in lifting the suspension of the validation of the
Economics programme.
9.2 To note other developments, including the
withdrawal of the validation of the Petroleum Engineering and Gas Technology
programme, and to receive a verbal update from the Pro-Vice-Chancellor
(Teaching).

One University member of the Loughborough Students’ Union Executive
nominated by the Executive: Jayde Savage.
Two further Associate Deans (Teaching), appointed on an annual basis as
reserves, to act as full members in cases where the Chair and/or other
