Research degree programmes supervised jointly with another University (or other body with research degree awarding powers) may lead either:

a) To a joint award of the two institutions where governance provisions make this feasible, or

b) To the award of a separate degree from each institution

providing in all cases that the academic requirements of both partners have been met by the candidate.
