1          Establishment of New Prizes

 

On the recommendation of the Chair of the Prizes Committee, Senate is asked to approve the establishment of the following prizes and make a recommendation to Council.

 

 

1.1       Department of Chemistry

 

AstraZenca Prize to the value of £200 to be awarded annually for the best Physical Chemistry performance by a finalist in the Department of Chemistry.

 

Lilly Prize to the value of £200 is awarded annually for the best performing finalist on the Chemistry with Forensic Analysis BSc programme.

 

1.2       Department of Human Sciences

 

Institute of Biology Human Biology Student Award of a Certificate and a years free Graduate membership of the Institute to be awarded annually to the finalist student who achieves the highest percentage mark in the Human Biology BSc programme.

 

1.3             Department of Information Science

 

The Dresdner Kleinworth Wasserstein Prize to the value of £200, to be awarded to the part B student with the best overall performance on the Information Management and Business Studies Undergraduate programme
