Proposals for IT-related governance in 1999-2000
Having consulted with the Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor and having taken note of recommendations made in the recent review of Computing Services, I wish to propose that with immediate effect Information Services Committee should cease to be a joint Senate/Council committee and instead become a Sub-Committee of Resources and Planning. Its composition should be:
Chair: |
The Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor |
Members: |
The Director of Information Strategy and Services
The Chair of the IS SIG
The Registrar
The Bursar
The Deans
A Senate member of the academic staff
One nominee of the Students' Union Executive
One nominee of the Postgraduate Association |
Up to three co-options would be permitted. Directors of Services and other members of staff would be in attendance as appropriate.
To meet four times a year.
