Subject: Regulation 1 : Library

Origin: Information Services Committee

On the recommendation of Information Services Committee and with the endorsement of Library Users Committee, the Committee is requested to recommend amendments to Library Regulations (Regulation 1) with effect from October 4th this year.

PROPOSED CHANGES

1. Admission

1a - (iii):

Delete the words "Loughborough College of Art and Design"

4. Period of Loan

4a - first sentence:
  1. Delete the words "Loughborough College of Art and Design"
  2. Amend subsequent wording to

    3. "...as indicated in Section 3 above, for a period of up to twelve weeks".

  3. And delete second sentence.

4b - insert after first sentence:

"Students with disabilities and additional needs may borrow items for a longer period at the discretion of the University Librarian."

For information:

Most of the changes recommended are self-explanatory. The substantive change has the effect of limiting staff and research student loans to a period of 12 weeks rather than for the balance of the academic year as at present.
