Learning and Teaching Committee is invited to note the
establishment of an
E-learning
Advisory Group.
The
proposed membership and terms of reference have been endorsed by the Programme
Quality Team. The group is intended to
support the new Head of E-learning and ensure that the various constituencies
involved are brought together. The group
is not expected to meet often.
An
opportunity for the student voice to be heard can be provided once the group
has settled on its pattern of business.

Terms of reference
To
develop, keep up to date and oversee the implementation of the
University’s e-learning strategy
To
oversee the management and operation of the virtual learning environment and
other University e-learning applications
To
advise the Head of E-learning on strategy development and service delivery
To
encourage the submission of proposals for external funding
To
encourage the enhancement of the University’s external profile in
relation to e-learning
To
report to Learning & Teaching Committee as required
