Committees are being asked to consider as an item on their first agenda of the year a brief list of the major issues they will need to deal with in the forthcoming year.

The major issues for Learning and Teaching Committee in 2007/08 are likely to flow from the Learning and Teaching Implementation Plan that has been developed in support of the University Strategy 2006-16. Priority areas for action in 2007/08 include:

(i) subject profile and student composition

(ii) curriculum design, programme delivery and learning opportunities

(iii) student support

(iv) quality assurance and enhancement

(v) staff recognition and reward
