Subject: Actions of the Associate Dean (Teaching)

The Board is invited to ratify actions of the Associate Dean (Teaching) in:

• Approving a waiver of programme regulations to permit a student to remain registered for the award of BSc without undertaking the second period of industrial placement in Part C, following his ill-health in Part B, and in order to restrict the programme length to four years.

• Approving the credit transfer of two Part B modules taken by a student who failed Part B of an MEng programme, to Part C of a BSc programme, where these modules are offered as options.

• Approving the extension of study for a part-time MSc student who for personal reasons could not submit the major project this year.

• Approving deferral of re-assessment for an MEng student until the next academic year, for financial reasons.
