Faculty of Engineering
The
next meeting of the Engineering Faculty Board will take place on Wednesday 18
May 2011 at 1.15 pm in Meeting Room
3 (formerly the Council Chamber) in Administrative Building Two (please note change of venue from the
minutes of the last meeting).
A
sandwich lunch will be served at 1 pm for all Board members.
(Ms Yasmina Mallam-Hassam
will join members for lunch.)
The
Board meeting will be followed immediately afterwards by the next meeting of
the Engineering Directorate.

That the final University
response rate was 74.27, just short of the average over the last six years of
75%;
-
That Materials and Aeronautical & Automotive Engineering had the highest response
rates among Faculty departments, with 81.63% and
80.54% respectively, and that other Faculty departments had
rates between 68% and 82%;
-
That four subject areas in the
Faculty - Aerospace Engineering, Chemical, Process & Energy, Materials
& Minerals Technology and Building - all achieved scores above 80%;
-
That results were due in August
and September, and Deans-Elect would be advised of their Schools’ results
as soon as analyses of both quantitative and qualitative had been conducted.
