At the request of the Department of Chemical Engineering, and further to Minute 00/31.3 of the Committee's last meeting, to reconsider proposals for the approval of the above new modules, the Department's intention being to teach mathematics to its own first year students from the beginning of the next academic year.

To recommend to Learning and Teaching Committee, with effect from 2001/2002. Changes to Programme Regulations are also proposed for the Committee's approval.

*15. BEng (DIS)/MEng (DIS) Electromechanical Power Engineering: Discontinuation

*20. Discontinuation of Programmes in the Department of Education

To note that, consequent upon the closure of the Department of Education from 1 August 2001, Senate has approved the discontinuation of the following programmes with a final intake in 2000/01:-

MA Education Studies (HEADLAMP - NPQH)
MA Education Studies (Peterborough)
MA Education Studies (School Effectiveness and School Improvement)
MSc Mathematical Education
