Prizes awarded 1999/2000


Sir Robert Martin University Prize (400 plus silver medallion.)
Winner - Mark Mottram, Department of Chemical Engineering

The medallion was presented by the Vice-Chancellor on 13 July 2000.  Mark was awarded the prize for outstanding academic results and all round achievements, including commitment to sport and his fundraising efforts to build a health clinic in Zimbabwe.

Sir Robert Martin Faculty Prize - Engineering (300)
Winner - Kathryn Hope, Department of Manufacturing Engineering

Kathryn was awarded the prize in recognition of her academic achievement, her contribution to departmental social events and various non-academic commitments including group leader of Holt Hall Christian Union and Chair of PRESS.

Winner - Steven Lilley, Department of Human Sciences

Steven was awarded the prize for his academic achievement and the variety of community work he undertakes, including his work with psychiatric patients and Loughborough Youth Affairs.

Winner - Chris Mallaband, Business School

Chris was awarded the prize in recognition of his academic achievement, his contribution to hall life and departmental liaison and support.
