The 1999 British Association Annual Festival of Science held at Sheffield was an informative week in which I could access the cutting edge of academia. I could consult leading doctors on controversial issues such as GM Foods, Genetic Patenting and other leading issues that appear in and out of the media. I could also attend lectures which were not in my field, this was a good opportunity to broaden my knowledge in other areas
