Green Impact
The Green Proclaimers
The Vice-Chancellor's Office are participating in the Green Impact programme.The team is being led by Anne Mumford, Tom Orrill and Kelly Friend with all team members logging the savings they are making through walking, car sharing, cycling or using public transport instead of single-car usage. Other activities include increasing recycling opportunities, energy reducing initiatives and calculating our carbon footprint.
The team name comes as a result of deciding to follow the song by the group “The Proclaimers” and aiming to walk (or cycle or car share) 500 miles – to be the team that wins the Green Impact Gold! Obviously if we walk 500 then we will walk 500 more! This initiative will run to the end of February 2012.
