Download a Form to Complete Offline
Download and complete a Word or PDF version of the application form and return using our contact details. If you are doing this you should read the following important information first:
- The application form. Please ensure that all sections of the form are completed correctly and that you use BLOCK CAPITALS throughout.
- Quick contact. If you have a fax number and/or an E-mail address where you can be contacted, please give those as well as your telephone number.
- Change of address. You will need to inform us of any change in your contact details including your email address. This is extremely important from May onwards all successful applicants are sent documents concerning their registration and arrival at the University.
- Educational qualifications.
- The University will need evidence of all relevant documents relating to educational qualifications.
- If you have a transcript of degree results as well as a degree certificate, please include both.
- If your transcript and degree certificate are not in English please include an official translation.
- References:
- The names and addresses, (and where possible email addresses) of two referees are needed.
- Please make sure that the persons you give as your referees are willing and able to provide a reference for you.
- Please submit two references together with your application form. The references should be in sealed envelopes, with the referee’s signature across the seal to ensure origin and confidentiality.
- English language qualifications:
- If your first language is not English you will need an acceptable English Language qualification before you can register for a programme at Loughborough University. This is normally in the form of a certificate with minimum IELTS result of 6.5 or a TOEFL result of 600 (paper-based system) or 250 (computer-based system). If you are sitting for a TOEFL, you should take the test at a time when the “written” part of the test is included.
- If you submit your application before you have gained evidence of English Language proficiency, and you have been made a conditional offer of a place to this effect, please send us the IELTS or TOEFL certificate as soon as possible.
- c. students, for whom English is not their first language but who have been taught and examined fully in English throughout their first degree or equivalent programme, should provide written evidence of which the University may be prepared to accept in place of an English language qualification
- If English is the language of your degree-giving institution, it is helpful if your academic referee would substantiate this and also comment on your proficiency in English.
An acknowledgment will be sent to you when your form has been received by the University. There are internal procedures to ensure that a decision will be taken about your application promptly within six weeks.
