Department student wins Royal Academy Leadership accolade May 2011
Chetan Kotur, one of the Department’s third year Automotive Engineering students, has won a place on the prestigious Royal Academy of Engineering’s Engineering Leadership Advanced Awards scheme.
Chetan, along with 3 other Loughborough Engineering students, is among up to 30 students from across the UK selected to the programme.
The Awards are worth up to £5000 each and are made to provide carefully planned training and experience over three years, which will furnish the students with the skills and capacity to fast-track their career after graduating.
As well as financial support to realise their plans, each student will also be allocated a Sainsbury Management Fellow or past Awardee as a mentor and advisor.
Commenting on his success, Chetan said: “Winning one of these awards is a fantastic opportunity to network and gain top contacts in the automotive industry. It will help me get one step closer to my dream career of being a leader in automotive design.”
